At Tuesday evening's regular meeting of the Mustang City Council, Warriors for Freedom were presented with a check in the amount of $20,000 from the Parks and Recreation Department and Mustang Youth Sports - proceeds from their Warriors for Freedom Weekend held in May. Join us for our Sunday afternoon class in August. Melissa will teach LIIT class at 2 pm. Class dates are August 6th, 13th, 20th, and 27th. LIIT stands for Low Intensity Interval Training which is less intense and more gentle than a HIIT class. The moves will be less strenuous to your joints, ligaments, and tendons. Class will be held in the fitness room and you do not need to register for this class. Please bring a yoga mat, they are not provided. You can also purchase one at the front desk for $10. Must be 13 years of age or older to participate.

Join Mustang Parks and Recreation in celebrating National Parks and Recreation Month on July 21st from 6 pm until 11 pm. Beginning at 6 pm, swing by the Community Center to have dinner and treats with the food trucks, show off your artistic talent at the Side Walk Chalk Contest, and or let the kids burn off some energy playing on Inflatables. Right around dusk, Movie in the Park featuring Back to the Future will be playing on the front lawn, so don't forget your lawn chairs or blankets. This is a FREE event excluding purchases made at the food trucks. Happy National Parks and Recreation Month!
