We want the motoring public to be safe this Thanksgiving. Do the right thing and get a sober ride home. Remember, “Buzzed” driving is “Drunk” driving.
All City facilities will be closing at 3 PM today to allow our employees to get an early start on their Thanksgiving holiday.
If your refuse day falls on a Thursday (Thanksgiving this week), your refuse day has been moved to Saturday, November 30, 2024. Please have your polycarts to the curb no later than 7:00 AM on Saturday.
Have a happy and safe Thanksgiving holiday.
Do you recognize this individual or their car? This person dumped a dog at the Dog Park at approximately 7:50 AM this morning, the third dog dumped within the last week. There are numbers posted at the Animal Welfare Center to call if one can no longer keep an animal in order to prevent dumping like this.
This is a criminal act and will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. Please contact the non-emergency number at the Mustang Police Department if you have any information - 376-2488. Please share.
According to the Department of Transportation, during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend of 2022, there were 326 passenger vehicle occupants killed in traffic crashes across the nation, and 43% of those were unrestrained. Choosing not to wear your seatbelt can be deadly.
Please buckle-up and stay safe this holiday season.

Last evening, a reception to thank all of the volunteers that serve the City of Mustang was conducted at Town Center. A total of 66 volunteers attended the event.
We appreciate all of our volunteers - whether at the Animal Welfare Center, Adult Activities Center, Parks and Recreation, or Library. We are thankful for the chaplains for the Fire and Police Department, as well as those that serve on the Planning Commission, Board of Adjustment, Library Board, or Parks and Recreation Board.
You help make our City and the services we offer better everyday!
