The City of Mustang provides an "Employee Spotlight" each month so that citizens can learn more about the public servants that contribute to our City running smoothly. The Employee Spotlight will feature answers to a series of questions about the selected employee, the department and position they serve in, and unique likes and interests of the employee.
The November Employee Spotlight is Battalion Chief Jonathan Sprague, Mustang Fire Department.
How long have you worked for the City of Mustang? I’ve worked for the City of Mustang for about 18 years.

How long have you lived in Mustang? I’ve lived in the Mustang for about 15 years.
Are you married? If so, for how long? Children? I am married to Casey and we have four children: Peyton, Trent, Paige, and Maisie.
What do you enjoy the most about working for the City of Mustang? Although the City has grown so much, and continues to, I can still appreciate the small town feel and strong working relationships between each of the individual departments and a very supportive City management.
What project have you been a part of while employed by the City of Mustang that you enjoyed the most? I most enjoyed being a part of the new Station 2 committee.
Favorite Food? I don't think I can pick out a favorite but I could eat pizza every day..
Favorite Recording Artist? Again, it is difficult to pick a favorite as I enjoy a wide variety of music and artists, but I would put Five Finger Death Punch at the top of that list.
Do you have a secret skill or talent? I would have to say not really, but I can juggle...sort of.
You recently attended the second session of Management of Emergency Medical Services held at the National Fire Academy in Emmitsburg, Maryland. What is something you would want the public to know about this class or that you found impactful to you personally? The most impactful benefit of any class at the NFA is the relationships developed with counterparts from across the country. As the EMS Coordinator for the City of Mustang, this specific class provided the opportunities to learn from and collaborate with several others in similar positions from all different sizes of agencies in regard to my responsibilities in our department. Those relationships do not stop with the end of the class and remain resources to share information with now and in the future.
