This weekend we suspended our noon storm siren test. We were advised there was a storm siren malfunctioning and activating randomly. We have been testing the system for the last few days in order to find the cause. It appears the issue was a lightning detection alarm at the high school sounding due to lightning in the area. The school is doing some testing as well to avoid future confusion. Thank you for the calls of concern and continue to be weather aware.

The Mustang Fire Department will suspend our regular noon testing this Saturday, 4-27-24 due to the possibility of severe weather. Our outdoor warning devices will operate normally in the event severe weather is approaching our City. It is a good time to prepare for Oklahoma Spring weather and know what to do in the event of an emergency.
