The City of Mustang provides a " Spotlight Employee" each month so that citizens can learn more about the public servants that contribute to our City running smoothly. The Spotlight Employee will feature answers to a series of questions about the selected employee, the department and position they serve in, and unique likes and interests of the employee.
The March 2025 Employee Spotlight is Audrey Brown, Communications Officer.
How long have you worked for the City of Mustang? This month will mark my 7 year anniversary with the City of Mustang.
Where were you born? (Hospital is not a permitted answer) I was born in Oklahoma City, OK.
How long have you lived in Mustang? I have been a resident of Mustang for nearly 8 years.
Are you married? If so, for how long? Children? Yes, I am married and have been with my husband for 13 years. We have two sons, Kaden and Isaac.
What do you enjoy the most about working for the City of Mustang? I enjoy that as a dispatcher, I get to come to work every day and help those in need in my community.
What project have you been a part of while employed by the City of Mustang that you enjoyed the most? I recently had the opportunity to attend training to become a CTO, Certified Training Officer for the Communications Division. I gained beneficial knowledge for training in my department.
Favorite Food? Does coffee count? Nachos are pretty great too..
Favorite Recording Artist? I have so many but Adele is high on my list.
Do you have a secret skill or talent? Multitasking. I also enjoy baking.
Working in the Communications Division of the Police Department can certainly be stressful at times. Do you have any secret tips on how you manage stress? Dispatch can definitely be stressful. I have learned to not take the stress home with me at the end of my day. Also, music helps a great deal too!
