The City of Mustang provides an "Employee Spotlight" each month so that citizens can learn more about the public servants that contribute to our City running smoothly. The Employee Spotlight will feature answers to a series of questions about the selected employee, the department and position they serve in, and unique likes and interests of the employee.

What do you enjoy the most about working for the City of Mustang? I really enjoy working as a Police Officer in Mustang because we are just small enough to have a direct impact on the community but we still have the large city feel. I also enjoy the immense amount of support from the community for the police department and officers!!.

You were recently promoted to the rank of Sergeant within the Police Department. What is something you would want the public to know about the promotion process that they might not be aware of or that you found particularly impactful to you personally? I think that the public would be surprised at the wide range of policies and procedures, criminal law (city ordinances and state statutes), and civil law (civil rights) that you are required to know to pass the written test.
