The City of Mustang will be providing an "Employee Spotlight" each month so that citizens can learn more about the public servants that contribute to our City running smoothly. The Employee Spotlight will feature answers to a series of questions about the selected employee, the department and position they serve in, and unique likes and interests of the employee. The July 2024 Employee Spotlight is Lt. Kade Loupe of the Fire Department.
How long have you worked for the City of Mustang? July 2, 2024 will be my 6 year anniversary with the City of Mustang Fire Department.
Where were you born? (Hospital is not a permitted answer) Baton Rouge, Louisiana..
How long have you lived in Mustang? I actually live in Yukon and have lived there since we moved to Oklahoma.
Are you married? If so, for how long? Children? I’ve been married to my beautiful wife, Shelbi, for nine years. We have a seven year old son, Marshall, and a four year old daughter, Tessa.
What do you enjoy the most about working for the City of Mustang? I enjoy riding in a fire truck to help people.
What project have you been a part of while employed by the City of Mustang that you enjoyed the most? Participating in MFD’s Fire Prevention Shows every October is definitely a highlight! Teaching kids and watching members of my department have a good time is both rewarding and fun!
Favorite Food? My favorite food is crawfish! Here in Oklahoma, it’s either not cooked the right way or too expensive.
Favorite Recording Artist? Late ninety’s country is where it’s at! Shania Twain is a real one.
Do you have a secret skill or talent? I have made all my kids piñatas for their birthday parties.
Firefighters are well-known to be excellent cooks. Is that reputation accurate with you and if so, what is your specialty? When it gets cold enough, I’ll make a sausage and chicken gumbo. My wife and I cook it together since it takes multiple hours to make a good batch!
