Education Room Rental Policy

Room Description and Rental Hours

The Education Room can seat approximately 60 people.  The room is furnished with rectangle tables (no round tables), chairs and lectern.  The room has wireless Internet capabilities.  The room is available for rent by 2 hours, 4 hours, or full-day sessions during the hours listed below:

  • Mondays 9:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

  • Tuesdays 9:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

  • Wednesdays 9:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

  • Thursdays 9:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

  • Fridays 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

  • Saturdays 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The Education Room is not available for rent when the Mustang Library is not open for regular hours of operation.  The room must be vacated by the ending times listed above.

Rental Purpose

The Education Room can be rented for meetings, programs and workshops only.  The room is not available for parties, such as birthday parties or bridal showers.

The Mustang Public Library reserves the right to have first use of the room.  Rentals will be based on room availability.  Therefore, requests to reserve on the room on a regular, repeat basis will not be granted.

Local non-profit civic organizations may use the room at no charge up to twelve times per year.  Local non-profit civic groups must follow the same guidelines in Sections 6-9 and complete an Education Room Rental Application with name of responsible person, such as the organization’s president or chair. Donations to cover cleaning and maintenance will be accepted.

Rental Fees

  • 2 Hours - $60.00 per session

  • 4 Hours - $120.00

  • Full Day - $240.00

  • All pre-event and post-event activities have to be included in the reserved times.  If a renter finishes before scheduled reservation, no adjustment in fees will apply.

  • If an event goes beyond scheduled reservation, the renter will be assessed for any time over, and charged $20.00 per hour.

  • Rental fees that have not been paid in by the specified date will result in forfeiture of rental time and all future rentals.

  • Projector - $25.00 per event

Clean Up

All cleanup is the renter’s responsibility.   Failure to clean up will result in forfeiture of future events.

Food Policy

Food and drinks may be brought into the Education Room with prior permission.    Renters are responsible for cleaning the room and are also responsible for any damages/stains caused by the food.  Damage fees will be levied for the amount to clean or repair for any damages or stains.  

Alcoholic Beverages:

Alcohol is not permitted in the Education Room.  There are other meeting rooms within Mustang Town Center in which alcohol can be served.  Please contact Mustang Recreation Center at 376-3411 for more information. 

General Policies

  • All reservations must be made through the Mustang Public Library Circulation Desk or by email.

  • Mustang Public Library personnel will provide initial room set up at no charge for paid reservations. 

  • Any physical changes to a room must be pre-approved by the Library Director. 

  • Any unauthorized adjustments will result in forfeiture of any future rentals.

  • The dimensions of the rectangle tables are 2-feet x 6-feet.

  • The renter is responsible for reporting any problems with room set up, cleanliness, etc. to the front desk.

  • The library will not be responsible for the removal of any props after a meeting. 

  • Furnishing and equipment belonging to the library will not be permitted to leave the premises for any reason.

  • Renters are responsible for any damages to the facility, equipment, furnishings or property due to negligence or vandalism.

  • Renters may not bring pets/animals inside the Mustang Library or Education Room.  Exceptions to this are service animals.

  • Smoking and gambling are not permitted inside the Education Room.

  • Possession or use of alcoholic beverages is prohibited in the library or the Education Room.

  • Mustang Public Library will not be responsible for any lost articles.  Articles found will be taken to the Library’s Circulation Desk.

  • Renters cannot solicit funds or sell goods in the library or the Education Room without authorization from the Library Director.

 Damage to the Facility Policy

The Renter agrees to pay for any damage to the Education Room that occurs during his/her rental.  

Decoration Policy

The following uses are prohibited on walls, ceilings, doors, furniture and other building fixtures:

-Staples
-Clear/transparent tape
-Duct tape
-Glue
-Thumbtacks or nails
No flammable materials or crepe paper is permitted.
Any “props” must be made outside of the Library and the Education Room.  Hammering, sawing, nailing, painting of any kind, etc. will not be permitted.
Special-effect machines (i.e. smoke machines, bubble machines, fog machines, fountains, etc.) are prohibited.
Signs, posters and/or flyers advertising the event/meeting may not be posted in the library or Town Center property without prior approval from Library Director.
Any damage caused by decorations is the responsibility of the renter.

The Mustang Public Library is not responsible for any injuries that may occur while an individual or group is decorating.
