The Mustang Fire Department's Fire Marshal conducts all fire and life safety inspections in the City of Mustang whether it is new construction, remodel, or an annual inspection. The Fire Marshal does all the plan reviews for any commercial buildings in the City of Mustang. The Fire Marshal also does the plan reviews and inspections for any sprinkled buildings in the City of Mustang for either commercial or residential sprinklers. The Fire Marshal reviews all preliminary and final plats for the City of Mustang once they are approved through zoning. The codes that the Mustang Fire Department adheres to are the 2018 International Code Council Codes as amended, approved, and adopted by the Oklahoma Uniform Building Code Commission ("OUBCC"). Commercial Plans / Fire Alarm and Sprinkler plans may be sent to J.C. Carroll, Fire Engineer for a third-party review if deemed necessary by the Fire Marshal. The applicant will be responsible for his consulting fees which are not associated with the City of Mustang Fees.
