Fencing
The City of Mustang issues permits for all fencing and walls. A permit is required for new fencing as well as repairing/replacing existing fences, if any changes or modifications are made such as material, location or height.
Fences, walls and hedges in residential districts may be permitted in any required yard or along the edge of any yard; provided that no fence, wall or hedge located in front of the front building line shall exceed three feet in height, and no other wall or fence shall exceed six feet in height. On corner lots, fencing shall not obstruct established building lines.
It is the Applicant's responsibility to very all plans are correct prior to submittal. The Community Development Department is not responsible for enforcing neighborhood covenants, so the Applicant should check with their homeowners association to make sure their designs are acceptable prior to applying for a permit.
TO OBTAIN A PERMIT PLEASE PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING:
A completed construction application
Plot plan, illustrating all existing and proposed fences and gates; also show property lines, easements, right-of-ways, utilities and other structures on premises.
Once approved, applicant can pick up and purchase permit.
Please allow at least one business day for us to review your fence plan. You may submit plans from with the Community Development Department at City Hall, 1501 N Mustang RD, Mustang, OK during normal business hours.
