Construction permits are typically required to install, alter or repair any sidewalk, curb cut, driveway or driveway approach.  Those engaged in performing such work do not have to be licensed.  An application for permit should be sought at least two working days prior to when work is planned to commence.

Please submit the following documents to ensure your application is processed within this timeframe:

• Thoroughly completed City of Mustang Construction Permit application

• Three (3) identical site plans drawn to a common scale or with necessary dimensions that shows all curb radii widths and lengths; driveway approach width; driveway width; expansion and contraction joints and saw cuts.  Also illustrate right-of-ways, easements and property lines.

• Three (3) copies of a cross-section of the proposed work that illustrates the  thickness and type(s) of bedding materials and paving; also show any proposed ditch profiles and drainage pipes and boxes.

• Present any proposed or executed documents such as cross-access agreements and radius agreements affecting the property.

All work must conform with the Code of Ordinances of the City of Mustang, OK and any applicable state or federal regulations and standards established by the City of Mustang and/or Oklahoma Department of Transportation where applicable.  

The Applicant is responsible for the safety and traffic control on the project.  All construction zones must adhere to standards established in the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices.
